The Moons Update (released 19 May 2025) has added two new moons (Selenea and Aqualis), a bunch of new items, the ability to terraform the star system and travel and trade between planets and moons!
Because I still haven't finished terraforming planet Humble (added in the Planet Humble DLC), I'm starting a new playthrough on Humble and will then visit the moons.
