Planet Crafter: Planet Humble - Trees Stage

Sandy Basin (Trees stage)

Sea of Fog cliff near Underworld entrance (Trees stage)

The Sandy Basin is becoming quite tropical looking with some new palm trees sprouting from the rocks. I followed the underground river from the Sandy Basin to the Sea of Fog entrance to the Underworld and it seems the fog might be thinning - I could see some trees out there. I ventured out into the fog and found some lush trees and flowers!

I carefully made my way down the cliffs, making some air shelters as I went. I don't want to die out there, lost in the mists.

There are other buildings out there - I could see lights in the distance. A biodome. Some living compartments. It looks like this was a base, maybe a research station. Where are they now? What happened to them? Do they have anything that could help me survive here?

I just unlocked the autocrafter and T2 ore extractor. It will be nice to start getting a steady supply of the more advanced materials and automating some of the crafting. But there's more to explore out here in the Sea of Fog. I didn't find any answers at the base, but there are more lights further away.

Sea of Fog ferry terminal building?

There must have been (or will be?) a real sea out here - I found coral and seaweed near another building. Also, super alloy is scattered across the sand. There are ticket gates, an observation area, a dining area and a kitchen (I found some food, phew!). Downstairs there were bunk beds, a bathroom, storage and spacesuit lockers. And ... I'm running out of air ... try to get to air shelter ... it's going black ... As I feared, I passed out, lost in the mists.

Sea of Fog shipwreck (Trees stage)

I don't see any more buildings so I follow the cliffs to the west and explore. I find a wrecked green starship! I can't find the entrance but I found a locker connected to the ship hydraulics that looks like it has space for 4 nuclear fusion cells. I kept exploring ... and ran out of air near some giant pillars and purple fog. Maybe I should come back once I reach the breathable air stage. It's a huge area, but I might need more technology to access some parts.

Starform Robotics Accusation
Osmium/Uranium Caves closed cavern defrosted (Trees stage)

Back at my main base, I found there was a message from Starform Robotics, accusing me of sabotaging their robots and vowing revenge. Meanwhile, I unlocked the butterfly dome which will let me start increasing insects. I built another nuclear power generator in the Uranium Cave and was going to build a T2 ore extractor in there as well to mine urainite (since that gives uranium, iridium and super alloy in the ore crusher), but while I was trying to find a good spot, I noticed the ice had melted in the Osmium Cave closed cavern. There was now a big lake and lots of trees and bushes. Also, I could build an ore extractor and mine urainite in the closed cavern, not osmium, so perhaps it should be considered part of the Uranium Caves not the Osmium Caves?

Closed cavern underground bunker

Remember that hacker's underground bunker in the closed cavern that I could only partially explore before because I needed the T2 deconstruction tool? Well, I deconstructed the technical debris and found a tunnel leading to an underground workshop. There was a spacesuit locker with a couple of Spacesuit Glitz. Drones contained different types of quartz - pulsar, solar, blasar, quasar and magnetar. Maybe they were experimenting with power sources or did different types of quartz have different effects on the drone's behaviour?

Butterfly Dome (empty)

I built the butterfly dome so it connects to the T2 biodome. I have no butterfly larvae so it's not doing anything at the moment, except costing power. I might move it somewhere else and/or rearrange the base to look better - maybe add more levels, one for autocrafters, one for butterflies, one for fish, one for frogs, and one for animals.

To boost plant growth, I built another tree spreader, this time in a puddle in the Underworld. I also launched more plant rockets. Then I unlocked the nuclear fusion generator which uses pulsar quartz instead of uranium and produces a lot more power.

On Planet Prime, wild larvae started spawning early during the Trees stage. At 6 GTi, I still haven't seen any larvae underground or on the surface and I've searched most of the planet. I did find a new path from the Ship Plateau to the Balcony above the Osmium/Uranium Caves closed cavern. There was a drone up there with a Lillia tree seed (1200% oxygen multiplier).

At 7 GTi I unlocked the water filter so I can drink directly from lakes and waterways. Still no sign of larvae.
