Planet Crafter: Planet Humble - Amphibians Stage

Generic frog eggs in the wild
Amphibian farms

As soon as I hit 425 GTi and reached the Amphibians stage, I unlocked T4 mutagen and the Amphibian Farm. I found some Jumi and Leglus frog eggs in the portal maps, so I can get started with the frog farms immediately. Then I'll add another level to my main base for breeding and storing frog eggs and displaying the models.

Insect spreader rocket

I unlocked the insect rocket and launched that as soon as I could to boost the terraformation. That should help unlock the T2 beehive which produces honey and bee larvae automatically. More bee larvae will be helpful for building more outdoor farms.

Butterfly farms (Sea of Fog)

T1 aquarium with Galbea fish from the Sea of Fog

Fusion Power Generators with T2 Machine Optimizer

I built some T5 heaters and drills and I had heaps of different butterfly larvae from the Ecosystem, so I built some butterfly farms in the Sea of Fog. I also built a water life collector in the Sea of Fog and found some Galbea fish eggs, so I built a fish farm and an aquarium for them. Then I did some portal maps, looking for new decorations and found lots of quartz so I built another fusion power generator and used a machine optimizer to boost energy generation through the roof.

Kenjoss frog farm

I haven't done much with frogs, so I used some of the Terra Tokens from the portal wrecks to buy some Kenjoss frog eggs and built another amphibian farm.

I still had a good supply of quartz so I made a few fusion cells and visited the shipwreck on the Ship Plateau to open some extra rooms. I found some more Terra Tokens, my first Volnus plant on Planet Humble, and a vault with some decent loot. I double checked if there was any loot left in the other wrecks, then took 4 fusion cells to the big green wreck in the Sea of Fog.

Sea of Fog shipwreck open

After inserting the 4 fusion cells, the shipwreck loading bay door opened. The first deck was full of Starform Robotic drones and equipment. On the next deck down, a fusion reactor needs another fusion cell. The layout was similar to a procedural wreck and there was a vault. The loot was fairly decent - I filled 6 lockers and set them to supply all so my drones could haul everything back to base.

T2 aquarium in Sea of Fog

I've been killing time, waiting to reach the Mammals stage. I've visited some portal wrecks and found some new decoration blueprints, launched some more rockets and built the Extraction Platform for leaving the planet. I also unlocked the T2 aquarium, so I built that down in the Sea of Fog.

Planet Crafter: Planet Humble - Fish Stage

We reached the fish stage at 120 GTi and unlocked the T1 aquarium. Now we just need some fish to put in there!

T1 Aquarium with Tiloo fish from the Underworld

A few minutes later, I unlocked the recipe for making T3 mutagen which is needed for producing fish eggs in the incubator. I built another water life collector and placed it near my "Tree House" base in the Underworld near the Sandy Basin entrance and when I checked on it later, it had Tiloo fish eggs. I placed those in the aquarium. Now the terraformation index for animals is starting to increase.

Butterfly farm with Fiorente butterflies

I also unlocked the butterfly farm and placed them on a hill near my main base, but hopefully not too close. I found in previous saved games that lots of butterflies close together seems to cause game performance issues (lag).

Starform Robotics Task 2

I received another message from Starform Robotics. I collected the drone logs they requested and now they say my second task is to open their starship (I assume they mean the green starship in the Sea of Fog). They say their drones are trapped inside and if I open it, the drones can be activated later to complete the terraforming process.

Fertilizer factory in Sulfur Terrace

Inside the fertilizer factory

T1 aquarium with Buyu fish from Sulfur Terrace

I built a fertilizer factory in the Sulfur Terrace to make T1 and T2 fertilizer and placed a water life collector in the lake as well. I found Buyu fish eggs, so now I can fill another aquarium. My factory has the water and algae collected from the lake underneath the building, farms and mining and gas extractors out the front, ingredients in storage on one side, finished products in storage on the other side and autocrafters in the middle that can reach everything. I also have a teleporter for fast travel.

Cosmic Quartz

I unlocked the recipe for making pulsar quartz. Now I need a few miners to ensure a steady supply of resources to make it. I went to place a T2 miner in the Osmium Caves and while I was collecting some osmium from the roof, I saw that what used to be a strange rock formation had now sprouted a single cosmic quartz crystal. I know that cosmic quartz can be crushed in the ore crusher to give different types of quartz, but I think there is only a limited number of those strange rock formations around the planet, so I need to conserve them, probably until I can get the portal generator and visit other maps to get more.

I built some more miners, tree spreaders and water life collectors (I found Tegede fish eggs in the Black Rift). After a pulsar quartz meteor followed by a super alloy meteor shower, I was able to build another nuclear fusion power generator and some more teleporters at outposts around the map to help with getting around. At 250 GTi, I unlocked the portal generator but I'm out of quartz again so I'm trying to craft it, but I'm also out of uranium (needed to make pulsar quartz) and the ore crushers are pretty slow at breaking down uraninite. Maybe I'll get lucky and there will be another quartz meteor.

Oesbe butterfly larva in the Purple Pillars

Oesbe butterfly dome

I went back to the Purple Pillars in the Sea of Fog because I left a lot of crates unopened and maybe one of them has what I need to make the portal generator. Instead, I found several Oesbe butterfly larvae which are unique to Planet Humble, as far as I know, and has a 1500% insects multiplier. The Oesbe butterfly larva is also worth 4500 Terra Tokens.

Osmium Caves roof shipwreck

Portal Generator

I made a fusion cell and used it to open several doors in the red spaceship on the roof of the Osmium Caves. From the extra rooms, I got over 9000 Terra Tokens, 4 pulsar quartz, some fuses, mutagens, fertilizer, rockets, explosive powder, circuit boards, rods and a spacesuit. I should be able to make the portal generator now, and have enough power to run it.

Random portal map

I went through my first portal. I found so many rockets and fertilizers and mutagens I had to stop collecting them. I made over 20,000 Terra Tokens, collected at least 15 pieces of quartz of various colours and found blueprints for 10 decorations, a couple of posters, fuses and a golden effigy. I could have got more, but I died from thirst and dropped most of the stuff in my backpack, including the access key card to the vault in one of the two shipwrecks. Never mind, I have enough quartz to do more portals and I still got plenty of good loot.

Kitchen

I got enough quartz to build another fusion power generator then did a bit of decorating with new blueprints. My kitchen is now functional, producing high quality food and storing it in the fridge. My beans and honey are stored in the cupboards under the countertops. I've got a trashcan for rubbish, a pantry with flour and cocoa (getting ready to start making chocolate chip cookies) and just need a few more knick knacks for the kitchen bench or wall to really finish it off. I can't wait to do some more portals and see what other decoration blueprints I can find!

Planet Crafter: Planet Humble - Oxygen Stage

Sea of Fog (32 GTi)

I was looking for larvae in the Underworld when I reached the Breathable Atmosphere stage at 32 GTi. I was near the Sea of Fog entrance to the Underworld and saw the fog was lifting. I looked out from the cliff and was amazed at the changes. The Sea is rising and I can see the pillars where I ran out of air before. Time to go exploring again!

Serena butterfly larva (blue)

Fiorente butterfly larva (pink)

Lorpen butterfly larva (blue)

I found several types of butterfly larvae near the research station in the Sea of Fog; Serena (blue, 1200% insects multiplier), Fiorente (pink, 600% insects multiplier) and Lorpen (blue, 600% insects multiplier). I'll have to build some more butterfly domes until I can get some butterfly farms.

Sea of Fog flooded ferry terminal

Sea of Fog entrance waterfall

The ferry terminal building was flooded. The Underworld river was pouring out of the entrance to the Sea of Fog, creating a waterfall, and there was a cave underneath with a green Starform Robotics crate.

Sea of Fog Purple Pillars

Purple Pillars animal research lab

Purple Pillars launch platform

I followed the cliffs south of the Volcano and came to some large rock pillars with purple plants growing around them. There was some buildings in the distance too, including an animal research lab (with T1 animal food and animal genetic traits!) and a launch platform. Records suggest that the Sentinel Corps employee felt some remorse for what they did to the drones, but they were just doing their job.

Sea of Fog Donut Island

Drone DR23

After exploring the Purple Pillars, my bag was full and I was getting low on food. On my next expedition, I head to the Donut Island in the middle of the Sea of Fog. There is a climbing vine that goes to the top of the top of the island where drone DR23 says that this area will one day be the most pleasant part of the planet and they're going to wait there for drone DR04 to join them. Awww!

Crystal Valley (Barren Stage)

Crystal Valley (Breathable Atmosphere Stage)

I was exploring, looking for more pulsar quartz to make power generators, teleporters and nuclear power cells, when I came to the Crystal Valley. The crystals used to be dark purple but now they're bright blue! I didn't find any new resources or secret areas, so I kept going.

Inside Obsidian Cave

Climbing vine to Volcano ledge

I got to the Obsidian Cave (which I barely explored before because of needing air and food), and I found some drones crushed by a landslide and crates with some good stuff. My bags were full, but I headed into the Volcano anyway. There was a climbing vine I hadn't seen before that took me up to a ledge with a drone. Further along the ledge was a crate with some quartz. Any more? Indeed! The ledge took me to a small cave with another damaged drone and a green Starform Robotics crate of goodies!

Golden butterfly larva (Sea of Fog)

Alben butterfly larva (Sea of Fog)

I unlocked the drone station, but that also needs pulsar quartz to craft it. A pulsar quartz meteor or two would probably help a lot, but I haven't seen any of them yet. I returned to the Sea of Fog - maybe there are some crates I didn't open or loot? I found a golden butterfly larva (1500% insect multiplier) near the research station, then a couple on the large rocks near the green starship. I also found a couple of black Alben butterfly larvae (700% insect multiplier) near the Donut Island in the middle of the Sea of Fog.

Pulsar Quartz meteor

Drone station

I brought the larvae back to the main base and nearly got hit by a pulsar quartz meteor! That was at around 75 GTi. It must be my lucky day; I collected enough pulsar quartz to make a nuclear fusion generator and the drone station (which is fortunate because the drone station requires A LOT of power). I started off building 5 drones, but I will want many, many more. Now I have to go through all my production machines and storage containers and set the supply and demand.

I sent up a bunch of rockets to boost everything then unlocked the water life collector which will allow me to start collecting phytoplankton and fish eggs. I put the first one in the Osmium Cave. There is a T2 Map Information Rocket which will probably tell me where fish eggs can be collected, but I'd like to search by myself a bit first. In the meantime, I will need to add another level to my main base for fish.

Planet Crafter: Planet Humble - Insects Stage

Nere butterfly larva spawns in the Underworld
Nere butterflies in the butterfly dome
Beehive T1
I reached 8 GTi and the Insect stage without seeing any larvae. So I did a web search and the advice was if you've reached the stage when they should spawn and they haven't, save your game, return to main menu, then log back into your saved game. I tried that and when I logged back in, larvae started spawning instantly. So now I've got lots of common, uncommon and rare larvae (plus two Nere butterfly larvae found in the Underworld near the greenhouse) and I'll be able to get the beehive and butterfly dome up and running.

Starform Robotics recruitment message

I got a message from Starform Robotics saying that they know I'm the only person on the planet at the moment and I've been forced to participate in Sentinel Corp's crime. If I bring them the evidence they need (start by collecting 15 drone logs from around the planet), they'll recruit me onto their terraformation team.

Bacteria Factory (work in progress)

I built my first automated factory for bacteria in the Osmium Caves. I have a T2 algae generator and a lake water collector on the lake and the building above the lake with an autocrafter that can automatically collect the algae and water and produce bacteria. I also have storage for algae, water and bacteria inside. When I get drones, I'll be able to send excess resources into storage here and to my main base. I may also start making mutagen and fertilizer in this factory later too.

Textiles Factory (work in progress)

Next, I've unlocked the silk generator and the recipe for making fabric, so I can start building a textiles factory - breed some silkworms in the incubator, get a few silk generators and an autocrafter and voilĂ  - plenty of fabric for decorating, crafting and earning Terra Tokens (not many, but it'll be a passive income).

I unlocked the outdoor farm, hooray! Production of eggplants and squash for T1 and T2 fertilizer respectively, mushrooms for bioplastic nuggets and beans for high quality food can all start ramping up. I'll just need a lot of bee larvae.

Broken Hills (Insects stage)
Staircase to Black Rift shipwreck
Sentinel Corp sabotage mission

I was just checking the map to see where I could mine super alloy and noticed a lot of trees (the same types I have in the tree spreaders) growing in the Broken Hills area. I decided to go have a look for myself and found a giant forest with Nere butterflies fluttering around (did they escape from my butterfly dome?). I had some iron so I visited the shipwreck in the Black Rift and built a staircase up to the entrance. Inside, I found several super alloy rods, some rockets, spacesuits, mutagen, fertilizer and a ruberu tree seed. Apparently this ship belongs to Sentinel Corp and has mission instructions to sabotage Starform Robotics drones then leave the planet discreetly.

Teleporter

After working on automating some crafting recipes for awhile, I unlocked the teleporter. I built my first one in the main Home base, and a second one in my "Tree House" base in the Underworld. I'll need to find or learn to craft more pulsar quartz before I can make any more teleporters.
