Planet Crafter: Planet Humble - Trees Stage

Sandy Basin (Trees stage)
Sea of Fog entrance to the Underworld (Trees stage)
Sea of Fog cliff near Underworld entrance (Trees stage)

The Sandy Basin is becoming quite tropical looking with some new palm trees sprouting from the rocks. I followed the underground river from the Sandy Basin to the Sea of Fog entrance to the Underworld and it seems the fog might be thinning - I could see some trees out there. I ventured out into the fog and found some lush trees and flowers!

I carefully made my way down the cliffs, making some air shelters as I went. I don't want to die out there, lost in the mists.

Sea of Fog biodome
Sea of Fog bedrooms

There are other buildings out there - I could see lights in the distance. A biodome. Some living compartments. It looks like this was a base, maybe a research station. Where are they now? What happened to them? Do they have anything that could help me survive here?

I just unlocked the autocrafter and T2 ore extractor. It will be nice to start getting a steady supply of the more advanced materials and automating some of the crafting. But there's more to explore out here in the Sea of Fog. I didn't find any answers at the base, but there are more lights further away.

Sea of Fog ferry terminal building?

There must have been (or will be?) a real sea out here - I found coral and seaweed near another building. Also, super alloy is scattered across the sand. There are ticket gates, an observation area, a dining area and a kitchen (I found some food, phew!). Downstairs there were bunk beds, a bathroom, storage and spacesuit lockers. And ... I'm running out of air ... try to get to air shelter ... it's going black ... As I feared, I passed out, lost in the mists.

Sea of Fog shipwreck (Trees stage)

I don't see any more buildings so I follow the cliffs to the west and explore. I find a wrecked green starship! I can't find the entrance but I found a locker connected to the ship hydraulics that looks like it has space for 4 nuclear fusion cells. I kept exploring ... and ran out of air near some giant pillars and purple fog. Maybe I should come back once I reach the breathable air stage. It's a huge area, but I might need more technology to access some parts.

Starform Robotics Accusation
Osmium/Uranium Caves closed cavern defrosted (Trees stage)

Back at my main base, I found there was a message from Starform Robotics, accusing me of sabotaging their robots and vowing revenge. Meanwhile, I unlocked the butterfly dome which will let me start increasing insects. I built another nuclear power generator in the Uranium Cave and was going to build a T2 ore extractor in there as well to mine urainite (since that gives uranium, iridium and super alloy in the ore crusher), but while I was trying to find a good spot, I noticed the ice had melted in the Osmium Cave closed cavern. There was now a big lake and lots of trees and bushes. Also, I could build an ore extractor and mine urainite in the closed cavern, not osmium, so perhaps it should be considered part of the Uranium Caves not the Osmium Caves?

Closed cavern underground bunker

Remember that hacker's underground bunker in the closed cavern that I could only partially explore before because I needed the T2 deconstruction tool? Well, I deconstructed the technical debris and found a tunnel leading to an underground workshop. There was a spacesuit locker with a couple of Spacesuit Glitz. Drones contained different types of quartz - pulsar, solar, blasar, quasar and magnetar. Maybe they were experimenting with power sources or did different types of quartz have different effects on the drone's behaviour?

Butterfly Dome (empty)

I built the butterfly dome so it connects to the T2 biodome. I have no butterfly larvae so it's not doing anything at the moment, except costing power. I might move it somewhere else and/or rearrange the base to look better - maybe add more levels, one for autocrafters, one for butterflies, one for fish, one for frogs, and one for animals.

To boost plant growth, I built another tree spreader, this time in a puddle in the Underworld. I also launched more plant rockets. Then I unlocked the nuclear fusion generator which uses pulsar quartz instead of uranium and produces a lot more power.

On Planet Prime, wild larvae started spawning early during the Trees stage. At 6 GTi, I still haven't seen any larvae underground or on the surface and I've searched most of the planet. I did find a new path from the Ship Plateau to the Balcony above the Osmium/Uranium Caves closed cavern. There was a drone up there with a Lillia tree seed (1200% oxygen multiplier).

At 7 GTi I unlocked the water filter so I can drink directly from lakes and waterways. Still no sign of larvae.

Planet Crafter: Planet Humble - Flora Stage

On reaching 700 MTi, the DNA Manipulator unlocked and I had the resources, so I built it immediately, next to the biolab on level 2. I also unlocked the beehive, but I will need bee larvae to build that. And now I can make super alloy rods!

Inside Sandy Basin entrance to the Underworld (Flora stage)

Sandy Basin entrance to the Underworld (hidden by a waterfall)

I returned to the Sandy Basin entrance to the Underworld to continue exploring and it was transformed - the sandy cavern was suddenly a lake with a giant Malissea tree in the middle and lots of golden fern type plants. Also, there is now a waterfall hiding the entrance. It looks beautiful! I'm glad I built a small base on higher ground so I can admire the view. Outside in the Sandy Basin, there is now a lake and lots of smaller waterfalls as well - first the sand drained into the Basin and now the water is draining into the Basin too.

Underworld Coral Forest (Flora stage)

My "Tree House" base

I spent most of the Flora stage building a base in the Underworld. I call it my Tree House because of the view of the giant tree. It will have a decorated bedroom upstairs and a small office and storage downstairs and eventually a teleporter. I'm amazed at all the wild plant life in the Underworld. It's a really pretty area.

Smoking Sinkholes shortcut to the Underworld

I had a look around the Underworld and made it back to the Volcano area. There are now climbing vines connecting the Smoking Sinkholes to the Volcano entrance to the Underworld. A nice little shortcut (if a little bit scary, when climbing down into a volcano!).

Planet Crafter: Planet Humble - Moss Stage

With the moss stage, the priority shifts from boosting the environment to boosting biomass. The biomass screen unlocked at 200 MTi. Super alloy meteor showers also start around 200 MTi.

Mushrooms sprouting in the Coral Forest

Climbing vine outside entrance to Osmium Cave

Wild mushrooms have started sprouting in the Coral Forest. In the Osmium Cave, I found one of the blocked tunnels had melted open creating a passage to the top of the cave, where a climbable vine takes you to the Osmium Cave Roof near the smuggler's shipwreck. Another vine has grown from outside the entrance to the Osmium Cave to the Osmium Cave Roof. A path from the Uranium Cave to the Osmium Cave closed cavern has also melted open.

Sandy Basin drained away

Rocket Valley with vines and zeolite

Um ... the sand in the Basin has gone down the drain! And there are some big vines growing out of it. A couple of my air shelters are now way up high in the air because the ground has fallen away. I'll need to build stairs to get close enough to deconstruct them. And the Rocket in Rocket Valley is now hanging by some vines and zeolite is bursting out of the ground. There is now access to a Zeolite Cave under the rocket.

T1 tree spreader with Malissea tree seedlings

Trade Space Rocket next to Vehicle Station

I tried to find a little puddle to put the T1 tree spreader in so that it was in water but surrounded by land for the trees, but I couldn't find any small puddles near the main base, only in the Underworld. I ended up placing it by the river at the Central Hangars and used one of the Malissea tree seeds because it has a high oxygen multiplier. I then built a trade space rocket, next to the vehicle station because it wouldn't line up with the launch platform. When I get some more terra tokens, I'll be able to unlock some nice blueprints. I also unlocked and launched the map information rocket so now I can see the best places to put the T2 ore extractors (when I get them).

Zeolite Cave entrance to the Underworld

Sandy Basin entrance to the Underworld

I finally unlocked the gas extractor so now I can get the T2 deconstruction tool and break down all the technical debris from the wrecks to get more resources and access restricted areas. I will need some more zeolite, so I will go visit the cave in Rocket Valley. Of course that cave led to another entrance to the Underworld! Lots of zeolite, osmium and super alloy down there, but it's very dark too. The Underworld beneath the Zeolite Cave connects to the Underworld beneath the Sandy Basin. One of the drones in the Underworld beneath the Zeolite Cave had a storage chest full of osmium and osmium rods. I found another green Starform Robotics crate in the Underworld beneath the Sandy Basin.

Seed Spreader Rocket

I was able to build a seed spreader rocket to boost oxygen levels just before reaching the Flora stage at 700 MTi. The world is changing rapidly and lots of new areas are becoming available for exploration.

Planet Crafter: Planet Humble - Lakes Stage

I built the new Lake Water Collector and a T2 Flower Spreader and ran out of power. I had a surplus for quite a while, but everything is starting to use a lot more power. So, I built a T2 nuclear reactor in the Uranium Cave to fix the power issue for now, but I'll have to build some more.

Terraformation Race Message

I just received a new message from the Galactic Accreditation Tribunal via the communications antenna. Apparently the race is on for Starform Robotics and Sentinel Corp. Whichever corporation fully terraforms Planet Humble first gets ownership of it.

Volcano Cavern

Volcano Entrance to the Underworld

Underworld River

I was exploring the Volcano again, looking for crates and was able to enter the cavern. Inside is beautiful! Lakes and lava and sparkling iridium everywhere. I also found a path leading deeper and I think it might be another entrance to the Underworld! It is! I found the greenhouse and my air shelter! I also found an underground river, so I decided to explore and see where that leads.

Drone with Malissea Tree Seed

Underworld Crystals with Super Alloy Rods

Underworld Coral Forest

I found a drone with a Malissea tree seed. It has a 1250% oxygen multiplier bonus which should be very useful. I found a super alloy rod nestled amongst some crystals. I found the Underworld version of the Coral Forest. I found an entrance to the Underworld from the Sea of Fog (still can't see anything out there). I also got up close to the rockets and launch pad and found a blueprint for a trade rocket.

Ground turning green (100 MTi)

Back on the surface, the ground is starting to turn greenish after reaching 100 MTi. By 150 MTi, the ground is looking quite mossy. I went looking for resources and started exploring the shipwreck on the Ship Plateau. There is a fusion reactor that requires two fusion cells, a uniform locker and several drones containing circuit boards. I didn't find many rockets so I crafted some to boost heat and pressure some more.
